Aisha Jamila Hinds is an American actress who is best famous for her performances on the TV shows The Shield and True Blood. Since her 2003 debut she has displayed her ability to act in a variety of roles by providing outstanding performances on television programs like 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7, and Under the Dome. The first time she was noticed was for her role as Anna in 2005's film Assault on Precinct 13. Her appearance in the biographical film All the Way as the women's right activist Fannie Lou Hammer attracted her into the limelight to the attention of the general public. Hind earned praise for her performance as Harriet Tubman, in WGN America's historical drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television has renewed the series for the third season. Hind has recently completed filming on the Hollywood movie Godzilla: King of the Monsters that will be released in the middle of 2019. She was married to Abhishek Bachchan, a co-star of the film who is the daughter of Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan.
